1) male childs attitude towards Leola is one of undaunted patience. He incorporates her for granted and does not respect her as an equal. Boy treats Leola as a trophy wife and tries to lurch her to become more socially well rounded and equal to the likes of the wives of his business destinyners. He does not accept her or her have sex as she is and neglects to treat her the way she deserves to be treated. As Boy continues to rise in the business world, Leola is futile to keep up. This neglect continues in his career as well as he takes on young men who he feels have latent and then drop them after they get married.

4) Dunstan is unable to adhere to Blazons philosophy as Boy adheres to Leadbeaters because of his inability to take advice (pg. 170). He faced many difficulties, including the weight of his visits to Mrs. Dempster at the hospital. He wishes that he could have been objective and regarded his visits as his good track down but was unable to. (pg. 171)
