The narrators ignorance is indeed evident the early time he lay eyes on Robert as he observed him, wearing a full whiskers and thinks a beard on a blind man is too much (23).He is jealous of the effects Robert has on his wife as he observes her laughing as she parks the car and she [is] still wearing a smile on her way to the front door (23).
