Martin Luther King

Martin Luther King Jr. was a man of who was greatly respected. A major reason for this was his ethos, pathos, and logos that was evident to all that hear him speak or even just read his earns. i of his most famous writings Letter from a Birmingham shut away shows all of these qualities many successions. Ethos is the ethical credibility of the speaker, Dr. King portrays this through his letter by stating,
I hope you are able to keep in line the distinction I am trying to point out. In no sense do I advocate evading or defying the fair play, as would the rabid separatismist. That would lead to anarchy. One who breaks an unjust equity must do so openly, lovingly, and with a willingness to accept the penalty. I submit that an individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who volitionally accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for law.
This shows that although he is intentionally breaking the law he is doing it from the perspective that this law is unjust and should be changed but is still willing to deal his time due to fact that he is breaking the law.
