The Giver

Introduction:
The book that I am doing for my book survey for the month of October is The Giver. This book is written by Lois Lowry. This book is really chosen by my teacher, Ms Watkins. The Giver is a conjuring trick fiction.
The Theme:
An important theme of The Giver is the importance of memories. Without memories we cannot visualise from our mistakes. It is important these memories are shared by everyone so that friendship as a whole can improve. If we do not share the memories, the memories are useless. In the Giver, only the Giver and Jonas impart memories. Since the conjunction of interests had no memories of war, hunger, pain, hatred, they were unable feel and know love, encounter how precious life was. That was why even though bewilder turn aroundms to be kind, he was still able to release that is eliminate a baby. Another important theme of The Giver is by choosing Sameness, they gave up their freedom to choose. In the community, they celebrated group birthdays, allowing only one kind of clothing, haircut, same weather, assigning spouses, jobs, children and names. It was shameful to be different. Obeying rules and discipline that were decided a long time agone were most important. By giving up the freedom to choose, the community was supposedly able to have a stable, secure and painless life.




The Setting:
The setting of the giver was both real and magical. The communitys sky was always the same color and habitual was the same weather. People could not see colors. The Giver and Jonas could magically pass memories by touching. However, everything else seemed familiar to us. Children lived in families with mom and soda pop and sibling. Parents went to work and children attended school. It was a combination of real and fantastic.
The dapple:
