The pool Players- Short Poem for Listening and Reflection
The Poem The Pool Players by Gw oddityolyn Brooks, based on the meter is the story of young boys that average want to live their life to the extreme, there are round keywords like left school, lurk late, strike straight, sing sin, etc) that trinity us to recover about their life style and the goal this will bring to them as described at the end of the poem die soon. Based on the critics of Eugene B .Redmond; this is a live fast-die-young syndrome of many urban black youths This poem has three major literary elements that capture affected my judicial decision on the poems content.
One of the literary elements fix within the poem is imaginative language.
The poet uses imaginative language to exhort our emotions, when she says We lurk late and thin gin, I mechanically imagined a bunch of young boys partying late and getting drunk. With this poem tries to achieve is the reflection in all those young boys who have left school and unfortunately have taken swingeing choices, and how this actions can severely impact their life. With all the things that many teenagers forecast are cool end up in a tragic event as is their own death.
The poet inspired me to suppose of how the lack of life experiences can many times commit us take bad choices that might seem gaiety at that moment are not, and how we often never think of the consequences until after is already too late.
The pool Players- Short Poem for Listening and Reflection
The second literary element actually makes you lead about the seriousness of the poem which is the rhythm that the poet uses when narrating her poem. I was fitted to hear the rhythm when she stressed the words as she narrated the poem. It was enkindle to discover that even thou the poem does not revision its words, it sound different when the poem is actually heard in the Poets own words,...If you want to get a unspoiled essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
